Two new prototypes, the RCV213V-S and a mud splattered True Adventure, were unveiled by Honda in November. The EICMA 2014 show in Milan saw the world’s first glimpse of both bikes which were presented by two time MotoGP champion Marc Marquez. The UK’s first chance to see Honda’s new offerings were later at the Motorcycle Live event in Birmingham.
The RCV213V-S is, of course, the road version of the RC213V MotoGP bike whilst the True Adventure prototype is a successor to the Africa Twin. In a statement Honda confirmed the True Adventure is “paying respect to Honda’s competition legacy, the 1989 Paris-Dakar winning NXR Africa Twin ridden by Gilles Lalay.” Information on the True Adventure is limited and very little has been released as yet. Honda did not disclose any additional technical details for either bike at the event but the RCV213V-S is expected to be available in the US in 2015.
