Don’t be fooled by the Merlin Drifter jacket’s casual looks, this is a futureproof, sustainable and durable motorcycle jacket. The 100% organic Halley Stevensons® ripstop cotton outer receives a fluorocarbon-free water-repellent treatment, with weatherproofing further bolstered by the addition of a highly waterproof and breathable Humax membrane. Receiving an overall CE certification of Level ‘A’ and backed by D3O® armour fitted to the shoulders, elbows and back, Drifter is as protective as it is stylish.

This new fabric Cotec has a soft, slightly oily/damp handle with a modern matt appearance. The cloth maintains a clean, uniform appearance. This unique fabric is a modern interpretation of traditional silk wax, with better breathability, ease of use in the long term and critically better safety performance. Given all this it is even more amazing that the fabric has a finished 8oz weight in contrast to the traditional silkwax which has a finished weight of 12oz.

Crafted from Halley Stevensons 12oz original and authentic Scottish waxed cotton for a luxury feel, Expedition then features a removable waterproof and thermal liner – built to weather whatever adventure you throw at it. Pre-fitted 5 piece D3O®️ armour keeps you safe whilst all of the components are also sourced from the finest brands, such as YKK®️

Merlin has worked with Scottish mill Halley Stevensons, who famously produce the silk wax cotton fabric used in other Merlin garments, as well as Belstaff and Barbour, to create a unique technical sub range within the Merlin Heritage range

Backed by D3O®’s flexible Ghost shoulder and elbow armour and with a pocket for an optional Viper Stealth back protector, is one of Merlin’s best equipped and most protective riding shirts yet. Multiple pockets to the front and inside the shirt provide plenty of room for carrying smaller items, while the hidden main central zip offers clean lines and classic style. Completed with YKK® zippers and Merlin-branded reflective panels, Sherbrook looks at home both on and off the bike.
