“A quick note to say a massive thank you” writes Mark Cory. “I cheekily asked if Fowlers could support my small role in a charity pedal cycle ride, simply by providing me with a suitable motorcycle to ride as a support rider. In all honestly I thought I’d asked a lot”.
The team at Fowlers didn’t think so and the new Suzuki V-Strom 1000 seemed the perfect machine for the job.
Ride for Precious Lives is a yearly three day cycle challenge, starting from Little Harbour, near St Austell in Cornwall, and finishing on The Downs in Bristol. En route the ride takes in three children’s hospices. This year’s 210-mile challenge attracted 70 riders, one of whom raised £4,600 alone, contributing to the overall total of £75,000.
“There were many people and organisations involved it supporting this ride, with the logistics being massive. However, the motorcycle was a particular favourite with all of the riders, attracting many smiles and admiring looks. The bike worked without missing a beat … it made my job easier for sure”.
