Sunday saw Sunderland storm the first stage of the 2015 Dakar rally in Bueonos Aires, Argentina.
The annual off road event sees competitors race through gruelling terrain for up to 560 miles a day in the style of a rally raid. On Sunday, 665 competitors set off for the 37th edition of the event, 161 in the motorcycle class.
Sunderland, a Factory KTM rider, won stage one of the race with Goncalves and Coma coming in second and third respectively.
Stage 2 of Dakar begins today in Villa Carlos Paz.
