If you’ve always wanted to get on a bike or scooter, but never had the chance – now’s the time! Get On, the nationwide initiative to get more people out and about on two wheels, is coming to Bristol on Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th April.
Sessions last an hour, during which time riders are introduced to the gears, brakes and slow speed handling. Scooters are also available for those who want to try a ‘twist and go’.
Get On is suitable for complete beginners or people thinking of returning to biking after a break. Instruction is by professional trainers and all protective clothing is provided. Riders just need to wear full length jeans and sturdy shoes.
It will take place at Bristol’s multi-purpose test centre in Old Gloucester Road, Bradley Stoke, Bristol, BS16 1RS.
Booking is via the website or by calling 02476 408040. There’s also a Facebook event here – why not go with a friend?
Get On is open to anyone aged 14 or over and under 16s need to be accompanied by an adult.
Riders will also be given advice and information about where to go for further training and which licence would suit their needs. They will also be advised as to where they can find their nearest high quality ‘accredited’ training school.
