Fowlers has been named ‘Best Multi-Franchise Dealer in South West England’ by Motorcycle News, the UK’s best-selling motorcycle publication. MCN judged the award on the standard of the showrooms and customer service, as well as the range of products on offer, plus many other criteria besides.
Bristol’s longest-established motorcycle dealer was originally founded in 1926 by Alice and Frank Fowler, in the St Pauls district, and the business is still owned and run by the same family. In 1982, the company re-located to a site on Bath Bridge roundabout and has grown steadily into one of Europe’s largest retailers of motorcycles, clothing, accessories and spare parts. Fowlers’ customers are offered a fantastic line-up of new on- and off-road bikes and scooters from Aprilia, Gilera, Honda, KTM, Moto Guzzi, Piaggio, Suzuki, Triumph, Vespa and Yamaha, as well as hundreds of pre-owned machines. In addition, there’s an enormous 7,500 square feet of clothing, accessories and cycles and, in the workshop, there are well over a dozen skilled, factory-trained technicians.
Due to overwhelming customer demand, Fowlers has recently opened a dedicated Off-Road Centre on a new mezzanine overlooking its main showrooms. Also, Harry’s Café, which is located on the top floor, has been completely re-fitted and a new menu is being introduced shortly, which will include some mouth-watering additions.
