Statistics released today reveal that during 2014 over 100,000 new motorcycles, scooters and mopeds were registered in the UK. This equates to a 10% increase when compared to the same figure published in 2013.
The information, which was collated by the Motorcycle Industry Association (MCIA), also uncovered that ‘Naked Bikes’ had the most dramatic sales increase, up 32% on the previous year. So, who’s buying new bikes?
Recent Government statistics show the number of licensed motorcycle, scooter and moped users is at its highest figure for 5 years at a staggering 1,326,500. This proves it’s not just old bikers adding to their collections but more likely fresh faced motorcyclists joining the community.
